Characters

Love Is Brewing has a lovingly crafted cast of characters: 

• Feyrina Feign is a meddling, grandmotherly fae who regrets leaving her grandchild alone in the Fae Court. 
• Dr Malbrin Feign is a playful fae doctor looking for a chosen family after leaving the Fae Court.
• Gregory Ector is a shy vampire librarian afraid of being vulnerable after years of soothing his loneliness with increasingly niche hobbies.
• Kelly Wordsmyth is a bubbly lycanthropic teacher learning how to reconcile the woman with the wolf.

Story

In Love is Brewing, view a fantastic world through the eyes of a potion master named Val. Return home to a town where everyone is human/mortal by day, and supernatural by night. Brew potions and contribute to a quirky, thriving town. Reconnect with Val’s old friends, make new ones, and perhaps with a little help (or meddling!) from a fairy godmother, kindle romance. 

This game takes place in Val’s everyday life as Nocturne Valley’s trusty potion-master. Throughout the day, townsfolk will come to Val for potions that they use for their everyday lives - whether it be a bug on a rug, or a pep in their step. Val spends their mornings brewing potions with improvised recipes, using locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, they’ll spend time catching up with friends, old and new. Starring among them: childhood best friend, Kelly Wordsmyth, nerdy bank teller and amicable ex, Gregory Ector, and the playful new town doctor, Malbrin Feign. 

However, Val’s day isn’t over when night falls. Enter the Night Market: where the townsfolk walk as their supernatural selves, from fae princes to rugged werewolves. Val reopens their workshop for the Night Market in the evening. Then, they visit their friends once more after they’ve dropped their glamours and their walls. Val must help their friends work through their insecurities, forging stronger bonds than before. In the light of a new day, Val’s closest friend visits the workshop to celebrate their strengthened connection and potentially add romance to friendship.

                                                                                                                                                                          

How to Play

To play Love Is Brewing, click to download the zip of the game. Unzip the folder and Run GOOL.exe. Use the left mouse button to click and drag ingredients to make potions, select dialogue options, and move around Val’s workshop. Love Is Brewing also has keyboard hotkeys to make moving around the workshop and accessing frequently used screens easier.
